Penoplasty in Bordeaux
Penoplasty (cosmetic penile enhancement) is a cosmetic surgery procedure for men who consider the size of their penis to be insufficient or unsatisfactory. It therefore aims to increase the size of the penis in length and/or width (circumference) at rest.

What is penoplasty?
Penoplasty (cosmetic penile enhancement) is a cosmetic surgery procedure for men who consider the size of their penis to be insufficient or unsatisfactory. It therefore aims to increase the size of the penis in length and/or width (circumference) at rest.
It is generally carried out in order to:
→ Increase penis length
→ Increase penis diameter
→ Harmonize penis size
How does the procedure work?
To increase penis length, the surgeon can release (unbury) part of the shaft by dividing the suspensory ligament that holds the penis up. Once freed, the part of the shaft that was hidden under the pubis is added to the visible part, giving a gain of 1 to 3 centimeters in length.
To increase penis girth, the surgeon injects autologous fat, i.e. fat taken from another part of the patient's own body, into the tissues surrounding the corpora cavernosa (subcutaneously). This is lipofilling of the penis.
Both procedures can be carried out during the same operation to harmonize penis size in length and girth, but girth enhancement or lengthening can also be performed alone.
What is the recovery like?
Hospitalization
One night in hospital may be needed after penis lengthening, whereas girth enhancement by lipofilling is performed on an outpatient basis.
Scars
A single inverted-V scar at the base of the penis for lengthening, hidden by pubic hair. For girth enhancement (fat injection), the incisions are only a few millimetres long.
Post-operative course
Depends on the type of procedure. Swelling and bruising of the penis last a few weeks (2 to 3 weeks on average), with some mild pain.
What results can you expect?
For penis lengthening, the patient can gain 1 to 3 centimeters. The result is mainly visible at rest, because when erect the penis becomes more vertical and retracts slightly.
For girth enhancement: 2 to 4 centimeters of additional circumference, depending on how well the fat graft takes.
How much does it cost?
From €3,950
A detailed quote is given after the consultation. For a cosmetic procedure, French law requires a cooling-off period of at least 15 days between the quote and the surgery.
FAQ
It depends on the request. For girth enhancement, the incisions are only a few millimeters long. For lengthening, there are well-hidden scars at the base of the penis.
Penoplasty is usually performed under general anesthesia.
The operation usually takes 1 to 2 hours, depending on the procedure followed.
Girth enhancement by lipofilling is performed on an outpatient basis, with discharge in the hours following the operation. One night in hospital may be needed after lengthening.
The results of this operation vary depending on the patient. The intervention allows an improvement at rest; the patient can gain a few centimeters in circumference and/or length, generally 2 to 3 cm.
There is moderate pain and edema. Pain is well managed by the usual painkillers
As with any procedure, there are risks, and complications may occur (bleeding, infection, wound dehiscence, scarring problems, neurological disorders, etc.). They are uncommon and can be managed promptly by the surgeon during post-operative check-ups. An information sheet from the French Society of Plastic Surgery will be given to you before the procedure.
